Computational Biologist

A Computational Biologist applies data analysis and computational techniques to solve biological problems. You might work in research institutions, biotechnology firms, or healthcare organisations. Computational Biologists develop algorithms and models to analyse genetic, genomic, and proteomic data. You’ll work with large datasets to understand biological processes and contribute to advances in areas such as personalised medicine or drug discovery.

Computational Biologists play a key role in integrating biological data with computational methods. You’ll need strong skills in programming, data analysis, and a solid understanding of biological systems. Collaboration with researchers and scientists is essential to interpret findings and contribute to significant scientific discoveries.
