Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (Bioinformatics)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationDevelop technologies for analysing and interpreting genetic information. You’ll learn how to design and implement software for activities such as identifying cancer genes. This major covers the foundational disciplines of bioinformatics: biology, computing algorithms and mathematics and statistics.

Assumed knowledge
Mathematics Advanced or Mathematics Extension 1 (depending on chosen area of study) plus one or more of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics.

- TOEFL iBT: 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
- Pearsons Test of English: 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest)
