Now you can enter the exciting world of professional hairdressing and barbering. A career as a hairdresser, or barber is one of the few where you can enjoy a solid income and financial independence. After completing your training at Queensland Hairdressing Academy, you’ll have all of the professional skills you’ll need to be a success. The skilled teachers at our school are experts in haircutting, braiding, hair styling, and barbering. Demonstrations from outside professionals are provided periodically.
We offer career training that can be completed in less than a year. Learning by doing has long been one of the most effective means of teaching. As you progress in your training, you will move to the salon floor where you can put your new skills to work on real customers.
This qualification reflects the role of hairdressers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.
