This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in planning, implementing and evaluating outdoor recreation programs and activities across a range of activity areas which include complex and non-routine situations.
Work would be undertaken autonomously with responsibility for management, leadership of others and maintenance of resources. Work would be performed in and for field locations with varied contexts requiring contingency planning.

Learn moreThis qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in performing core skills in outdoor recreation environments and assisting with the conduct of a range of outdoor activities.
Work may be undertaken as part of a team and would be performed under supervision. Work would be undertaken in field locations such as camps or in indoor recreation centres or facilities, in differing environments such as water-based, dry land and mountainous terrains, using a diverse range of equipment.
Learn moreThis qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in guiding outdoor recreation activities in a controlled environment. This course requires technical knowledge of an outdoor recreation activity to be transferred to allow individuals to safely participate in the outdoor activity.
It does not provide the skills and knowledge to impart the required level of technical knowledge and expertise to allow participants to independently undertake outdoor recreation activities.
