With a passion for road safety, Mirella began her driving instructors career as an independent driving instructor and assessor, before joining the Department of Transport.
She has worked in both Western Australia and the Northern Territory, so has a wealth of knowledge about both state and federal transport legislation.
Mirella wanted to lift the standard of driving instructing in Western Australia, and so began the Miro Training Centre, Western Australia’s only Registered Training Organisation for Driving Instruction, which is owned and operated here in Perth.
With a focus on how people learn, Mirella is constantly on the look out for new techniques and technologies to improve the training quality provided to her students.
Further, she is always extending her own knowledge of the industry, regularly attending seminars and conferences with the National Safety Council of Australia.
Miro Training Centre are pleased to offer our Driving Instructor Course in WA (Perth) -TLI41222 - Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training. This certificate is a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). As a prescribed body; as listed in schedule 2 of the Motor Vehicle Driver Instructor Regulations 1964 Miro Training Centre, Western Australia, is registered to certify driving instructors.
The TLI41222 - Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training includes the performance of a broad range of skilled applications including requirements to evaluate and analyse current practices, to develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and to provide some leadership and guidance to others in applying skills and planning skill development.

Learn moreOur course is a blended delivery with online learning and face to face. The online learning is self-paced, and the only stipulation is that it is completed within 12 months of enrolment, however, for optimum learning and completion we tailor a timetable for you to follow if possible. This will ensure you stay on task and complete in time to meet your scheduled Face to Face 10-day session. If there are extenuating circumstances, we will possibly extend up to a further 6 months. This would be decided on a case-by-case basis.
Individual self-directed learning is designed to accompany other activities as it provides students the opportunity to complete research and assessments in their own time, establishing their knowledge prior to participating in the face-to-face delivery component of this program.
Students will have online and phone access to their assessor with online content and Teams meetings to be provided to Students should they request it.
