At Equine Assisted Therapy Australia our mission is to empower and inspire individuals through connection. We develop and deliver high quality training in equine assisted therapy to create competent and compassionate practitioners. We champion an industry of ethics, professionalism and authenticity in equine assisted therapy. We use an integrated approach incorporating Equine Assisted Therapy, art therapy, counselling, Gestalt therapy, mindfulness practices, yoga and horsemanship.
The Diploma of Counselling is suitable for students seeking careers as counsellors working with clients on personal and psychological issues using established counselling modalities. Students graduate ready to work in supported counselling roles in established agencies rather than in independent practice. Students will learn about communication, micro-counselling and interviewing skills and how to draw on varied counselling therapies to assist clients.
