The Academy of Makeup was founded in 1999 by Makeup Artist/Hairstylist, David McConnell. We have campuses in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
We have 20 years experience in teaching Makeup Artistry and our Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup) covers techniques from “A” for Airbrush to “Z” for Zombies, as well as everything in between (Beauty, SPFX, Period, Cultural, Business, Photographic, Freelance, Film, TV, Hair, Bridal & more).
We are members of ACPET, the Australian Hair and Beauty Industry Association and also the Makeup Artist Guild Asia Pacific. We are an approved Provider for VET Student Loans.
Our courses use face to face classes, guest speakers, masterclasses, apps, blogs, social media, hands on work experience, an easy to access student portal and “AOM TV” (our online video library).
