Work Safely and Follow WHS policies and Procedures

This unit of competency involves the skills and knowledge required to work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures within the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.

This unit is suitable for those working in operational roles. Students will learn the skills and knowledge to: access and apply relevant documentation and permits; isolate energy sources; establish and maintain safe work environments; emergency response procedures; risk identification and job safety analysis (JSA); reporting and completion of records; complying with WHS policies and procedures; and select and wear appropriate PPE.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

A government issued photo identification and valid USI is required for course recognition.

All students must undertake a language, literacy, and numeracy test before commencement of this course to ascertain if support is required to assist students to successfully meet their goals.
