Wilderness First Aid
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This program trains participants to respond to emergencies in remote settings. The curriculum includes standards for urban and extended patient care situations and is designed specifically to provide you with the tools to make critical first aid and evacuation decisions in remote locations. 80% of training time will be spent completing practical skills, interactive case studies and scenarios designed to challenge your decision-making abilities.
Wilderness First Aid Course’ is delivered over 3 days of face to face practical training and scenarios after completing pre- course underpinning knowledge Multiple Choices Questions . It focuses not only on the skills and knowledge required to provide the best care to a patient whilst waiting for an extended period of time for help to arrive, but also the skills and knowledge required to co-ordinate an appropriate response including communications to emergency services and evacuation considerations.
