Traffic Controller Skill Set

This course addresses the skills and knowledge for those responsible for stopping and starting traffic in temporary traffic management using a stop/slow bat or boom gate.

This program is a good entry point for those wishing to establish themselves into the traffic control/management industry.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Students must be 17 years of age or over on the day the training commences.

Students must present 100 points of ID prior to commencing training and/or assessment. This must be original forms of ID, no photocopies will be accepted.

In order to complete the live-site practical assessment to achieve final competency, students must hold a White Card and provide evidence of this to the trainer prior to assessment.

Students must also present to the final assessment in suitable clothing and footwear – long pants, long sleeve shirt and work boots.
