Tractor Operations
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Tractors and front-end loaders are widely used in agriculture, horticulture and land management. Operating this machinery can be dangerous, so you need to know what you are doing! This short course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a tractor and a front-end loader in an agricultural environment.
In this course, you will learn how to prepare tractors and front-end loaders for operation, select the right safety gear and equipment, as well as carry out pre-start checks and daily servicing. You’ll climb aboard and learn to drive a tractor smoothly, using various operating techniques and work practices, and follow shut down procedures. On the front-end loader, you’ll also learn how to select the right loading technique for a variety of work conditions.
