Provide First Aid in Remote Situations

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This course provides the knowledge and skills to perform first aid in remote situations where medical attention or assistance is delayed and the First Aider may be required to attend to an injured or ill person for an extended period due to inclement weather or geographical obstacles such as an isolated location or rough terrain.

The course gives students the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid response, life support and management of person(s), the incident and other First Aiders in remote situations until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

The course can also be adapted or modified for organisations or groups with specific remote requirements.
