Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit supersedes HLTAID001 and provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course covers the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, manage and assess an emergency, use an automatic external defibrillator (AED), understand DRSABCD and the First Aider’s legal responsibilities. Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This is a blended course with self-paced online learning (e-Learning) and face-to-face training. Before attending the face-to-face training, students will need to complete their e-Learning which can be done in one sitting. Depending on the student’s learning ability, they should allow up to 4 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment take 3 hours in a classroom environment.
