HLTAID015

Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Advanced resuscitation course requires existing first aid knowledge. All participants must previously have completed an HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course, as the knowledge and skills from that training are assumed knowledge for HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy.

FirstAidPro is a registered training organisation in Australia (RTO: #40407). All the training we provide follows the government standards for first aid training and is fully accredited and nationally recognised. The skills and knowledge taught in our training courses are in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) standards, as well as those of Safe Work Australia and various other national peak clinical bodies.

Much of the training we provide at FirstAidPro is very hands-on and practical, and the Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course is no exception. Our training environment is immersive, fully supportive, and the course is delivered by highly qualified and experienced professional trainers. The course format provides space and opportunity for students to attempt tasks and ask questions, letting them benefit from our trainers’ practical, real-world experience. When it comes to learning CPR and oxygen therapy in an interacting and engaging way, you’re not going to find better!

As part of the course, students will train in the following areas:

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
  • AED use (Automated external defibrillator)
  • Assessing vital signs (respiration, pulse, oxygen saturation)
  • Basic airway adjuncts
  • The “Five rights”

About FirstAidPro

FirstAidPro is a Registered Training Organisation specialising in First Aid Training Nationally, delivering high-quality First Aid Courses tailored to meet your specific requirements. We believe at FirstAidPro that “Skills, Knowledge and Confidence Saves Lives.”

We aim to provide the most streamlined, comprehensive, cost-effective first aid training, equipping participants with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence required to provide a first aid response in various situations, including community and workplace settings to families and children.

Sharon McCulloch, an Emergency Care Registered Nurse, attended an enormous amount of emergencies. Dealing with families and work colleagues who brought the casualty through the emergency department, clearly distressed and wishing they could have done more during this highly emotive time, it became evident that public people simply didn’t know how to manage an emergency situation.

“It was then that I decided to take my skills and knowledge into the workplace and provide staff with a quality, up-to-date professional first aid training, identifying the workplace risks, hazards and acute injuries and illness and how to implement appropriate responses. I keep my skills and knowledge current by continuing nursing in all major hospitals and walking nursing students through their university placement as a clinical facilitator. I specialise in First Aid Training, CPR Training, Manual Handling and Mental Health First Aid.”

As an experienced Emergency Care Registered Nurse and First Aid Instructor, Sharon combined her background in health and management and established FirstAidPro, a Registered Training Organisation RTO (40407).

Her passion and enthusiasm are evident interactively and dynamically in all of her courses. She aims to make first aid training available, comprehensive and affordable to everybody. This will ensure everybody receives the knowledge and skills needed to attend to an emergency confidently.
