Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)A NSW White Card or general construction induction (GIT) card is essential for anyone who work at a construction site and is a mandatory requirement in NSW. The course is also commonly known as the White Card course and was previously known as the Green Card course. It is designed to assist workers with evaluating worksite hazards/risks and assists workers with reporting workplace incidents to the authorities correctly.
General white card training course aims to provide awareness and understanding of rights and responsibilities under WHS law to identify common hazards and risks associated with the construction industry, basic risk management principles, and the standard of behaviour expected of workers on construction sites.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
At least 14 years of age
Have sufficient Language Literacy and Numeracy Skills
Evidence of Identity requirement by SafeWork NSW
Have the required resources requirements:
- Computer/Laptop with camera access (ensure that you have sufficient computer literacy)
- Reliable internet connection
- Microsoft Teams (link will be provided upon enrolment)
- Suitable Learning Environment (I.E. Desk/table, chair, suitable lighting, a quiet space)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Dust Mask, Eye Protection, Hearing Protection, Head Protection, and High Visibility Reflective Vest.

Vigil Training College is a registered Australian Vocational Education Organisation. We established our first campus in 2007 in Parramatta, NSW.
