Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Planning to work in the construction industry? A White Card is evidence that you have completed a General Construction Induction course/White Card course. This course is mandatory for anyone who works or wants to work in the construction industry (construction zones or performs construction) such as building, demolition or housing construction will require a White Card. This includes construction related positions such as Labourers, Tradespeople, Apprentices or Trainees, Project Managers or Supervisors or those who previously had a White Card, but haven’t worked in construction for 2 years.

CPCWHS1001 provides you with an understanding of how to control common hazards and risks on a construction site. It is a requirement for any worker on a construction site to undertake general induction training and receive their White Card. Successful completion of this unit will enable the student to achieve their licencing requirement to enter a work/construction site.
