Prepare To Work Safely In The Construction Industry

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

If you want to work in the construction industry, you are required by law to successfully complete a General Construction Induction course. This course meets the requirements of the 2011 Workplace Health and Safety Regulation and covers the skills and assessment necessary for a worker to safely enter and work on a construction site in Queensland.

This accredited skill will give you an understanding of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to yourself and others. Learn how to identify and report common construction hazards, understand basic risk control measures, and identify procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. You’ll also cover how to correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
