Perform Venous Blood Collections
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The training is conducted over 5 days, face to face training and is held in our Wangara Training room which is a warm and friendly environment providing students with up to date theory and practical in Pathology Specimen Collection, theory and practical in Venepuncture, and the Medical Terminology for the Pathology techniques and procedures.
Experienced tutor/s work hard with each student in small face-to-face learning environments ensuring that our students receive the most out of their training as possible. Students in Perth, who show competency in the unit HLTPAT002, are offered the chance to complete their 35-work placement/logbook hours with our clinic and health industry contacts.

About WA School of Pathology
From the very beginning we have worked hard to earn an excellent reputation as a training organisation, delivering short and comprehensive training in venepuncture, and are proud to have highly qualified and experienced tutors in Venepuncture teaching our students. Not only do we teach at a high standard we are also here to be a support network to help you through your training with us.
Our tutors have trained and studied in the UK and in Australia. They have 40 years nursing experience between them, also experience working in disability and with cord bloods, quite an array of different areas, over 20 years of these being in the field of Pathology.
