Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform a rescue from a live Low Voltage (LV) electrical apparatus using a Low Voltage Rescue Kit along with performing CPR on an unconscious casualty. This training is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and takes personnel through both the theory of why we do CPR and includes various practical exercises with the emphasis on the ‘how’ we perform CPR.
Successful completion of the Provide CPR module is required prior to continuing on with the Low Voltage Rescue section of the course.
The LV Rescue unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from a live LV apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cable, in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.
