Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.
It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.
It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.
On successful completion of this course, participants will have acquired the skills and knowledge to perform the safe reach and removal of a casualty who has come into contact with low voltage power, received an electric shock or other injuries and administer first aid or provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation which can save the life of a casualty when they have stopped breathing.

- There are no mandated entry requirements.
UETDRMP007 has a prerequisite of HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participants must complete and be marked as competent in HLTAID009 prior to the commencement of UETDRMP007.
