Perform EWP Controlled Descent Escape

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This course covers the performance of rescue procedures and the controlled descent escape procedures from an Elevating Work Platform (EWP) in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue by a work party member on the ground and self-rescue from a raised EWP and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.

It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of rescue equipment, and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

This programme is primarily designed for those within the electrical supply industry, and who may be required to perform emergency rescue from an Elevated Work Platform, however is also suitable for other industries.
