Perform Elevated Work Platform Rescue

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform an elevated work platform (EWP) rescue in the workplace. Specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue by a work party member on the ground and self-rescue from a raised EWP and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.

It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of EWP retrieval systems, and how it applies to ESI workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.
