Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Food laws in NSW require businesses in the hospitality and retail food service sectors that process or sell food at the retail level, to appoint at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor (FSS).

This course is designed for students who have been working in the hospitality or retail food sectors and have successfully completed the Food Handling Level 1 course and hold SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety, or SIRRFSA001 Handle food safely in a retail environment, and also for students who already hold a FSS certificate that is due to expire.
