Open Cabler Registration Course
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This nationally accredited course provides training in the skills and knowledge required for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications cabling in buildings and premises. This course will also enable participants to meet the Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) Open Cabler Registration.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Applicants must hold a current WA Unrestricted Electrician’s Licence or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory.
To gain entry into this course, applicants must have attained the pre-requisite units of competency:
- UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
- UEECD0019 Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components
- UEECD0020 Fix and secure electrotechnology equipment
- UEECD0051 Use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications
and;
- UEECD0043 Solve problems in direct current circuits OR
- UEECD0044 Solve problems in multiple path circuits AND UEECD0046 Solve problems in single path circuits
