Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Academic entry requirement
Prerequisites
Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
Specialisation - compulsory: In a relevant discipline area for primary teaching as per the National Program Standards and the Victorian Institute of Teaching. For a primary focus these may include; Science, Mathematics, Arts (Visual Arts/Drama/Music/Dance/Media Studies), Humanities (Geography, History), Languages, Physical Education/Health, English, IT.
Selection criteria
All applicants will complete the CASPer test to support selection into teaching programs. CASPer is a requirement for many of the initial teacher training courses in Victoria. It is a non-cognitive online test designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes.
English language requirement
7.0 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 7.0 and a score of no less than 7.5 in Speaking and Listening.
