Master of Professional Psychology
Nationally Recognised Higher Educationf you’re a fourth-year Psychology graduate, the Master of Professional Psychology gives you a fifth year of training under the 'five plus one' model, as recommended by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
You’ll be trained in the key areas of ethics, psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions. Emerge with an APAC-accredited degree and 50 per cent of the requirements towards registration as a general psychologist. To obtain full registration, you will need to organise additional supervised placement hours.
To meet the need for forensically oriented psychologists in the field, this degree also addresses psychological practice within the forensic psychology domain.

- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission Criteria:
International qualifications must be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and deemed equivalent to an Australian 4-year sequence in psychology (including an honours equivalent research thesis component).
Applicants who have undertaken studies in other countries may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Details of minimum English proficiency requirements and acceptable proof can be found on the international office website and include the additional admission requirements of:
- IELTS (Academic) - 7.0 overall score with a minimum 7.0 in each subtest
- TOEFL Internet-based test - 100 (writing = 27 and all other subtests = 22)
