Nationally Recognised Higher EducationOur Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) will enable you to build on your experience as an advanced practice clinician to develop the knowledge and skills to become a nurse practitioner, working autonomously and collaboratively in a variety of healthcare settings in Australia. The course is designed for registered nurses working at an advanced practice level who are looking to build specialist professional practice capabilities leading to endorsement as a nurse practitioner.

- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Qualifications
A successful applicant for admission to the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) will hold:
- Current general registration as a registered nurse.
- A minimum of two years full-time equivalent as a registered nurse in a specified clinical field and two years full-time experience of current advanced nursing practice in this same field.
- A postgraduate qualification at Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8 in a clinical field.
- Evidence of confirmed support to complete all professional experience requirements of the course.

English language requirements
Mandatory for course entry
This course requires you to provide evidence of your English proficiency. There are three ways you can do this:
Proof of previous study in an English-speaking institution
- You may satisfy the English language requirements of this course if you have either of the following from a recognised English speaking institution (i.e. all teaching, assessments and examination was conducted in English):
- Undergraduate qualification - A three-year undergraduate degree, completed within five years of course commencement.
- Postgraduate qualification - A two-year postgraduate degree completed within three years of course commencement.
English language skills test
- You can meet the English language requirements if you complete one of the following English language tests within two years of the course commencement date:
- IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
- TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing
- Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 68 in each band
English is my first language
- If English is your first language, you may be able to meet the English language requirements if you have;
- Citizenship or permanent long-term residency (minimum ten years), AND
- Completed secondary or higher education (tertiary) studies recognized by the University in an approved English-speaking country
