Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationDevelop skills in securing data, communications and infrastructure as well as investigating, analysing and providing solutions to computer crime. Students gain an understanding of problem solving, communication and technical capabilities related to Information Technology Security and the legal, regulatory and ethical contexts in which these skills are used. The security units provide a solid foundation in areas including information security, internet and network security, access controls and firewalls. In conjunction with work experience, the units prepare students towards certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional on completion of the CISSP exam administered by The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2.

To be considered for admission to this degree (without admission credit applied*) you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
- completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline
Recognition of Prior Learning into the Master of Information Technology may be granted to students who have successfully completed appropriate postgraduate level studies.
Related disciplines which may be considered include: information technology, computing, computer science, software engineering.
English language proficiency requirements
To meet the English language proficiency requirements of this course, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following:
- bachelor degree
- IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent
