As a requirement of education standards provided by the Financial Adviser Standards (FAS), the unit develops students' appreciation of ethics and their ability to evaluate and apply ethical principles in the decision-making process in financial planning. - MAI728 - Financial Behaviour and Decision Making (Intensive)
The Financial Planning professional must be able to build a deep understanding of their client’s needs and be able to anticipate issues many clients may not have considered. - MLI714 - Financial Advice Regulation (Intensive)
This unit gives students an advanced and integrated understanding of Financial Advice Regulation in Australia, including the relevant sections of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). - Plus 1 credit point from:

Academic requirements
To be considered for admission to this degree (without admission credit applied*) you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
- completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline
Related discipline degree: A 'related discipline' award for this course is a Bachelor degree in Finance, or a Bachelor degree in Commerce or Management or Business with a major sequence in Finance.
Relevant work experience: Relevant work experience is business experience in either a finance role or a managerial position with business oversight responsibilities in a finance related field, such as financial consulting, financial analysis, treasury management, corporate finance, fund management and banking.
English language proficiency requirements
To meet the English language proficiency requirements of this course, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following:
- bachelor degree
- IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent
