Nationally Recognised Higher EducationOur Master of Exercise Physiology degree gives you the knowledge, competencies and clinical experience required to deliver safe and effective clinical exercise practice that has a real impact on people’s health.
This course is designed for students who want to be equipped with the knowledge to assess physical and functional capacity, identify risks and design targeted, functional and sustainable exercise programs, and apply these skills in practical clinical settings.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission to candidature for the Master of Exercise Physiology requires the applicant to have:
- A bachelor or master’s degree or a PhD in exercise science or a health-related discipline from the University of Sydney, or qualifications deemed by the faculty to be equivalent; and
- A minimum GPA of 4.5 out of 7.0 which is an approximate Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 per cent
- any other minimum standards specified by the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
In addition to evidence of:
- a current Exercise Scientist Accreditation (AES) with Exercise and Sport Science Australia; or
- completion of a bachelor or master’s degree accredited by Exercise and Sport Science Australia at the level of Exercise Science; or
- an approved Graduate Entry Assessment from Exercise and Sport Science Australia
