The Master of Education, STEM testamur major is designed for teachers seeking to enhance their knowledge in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and their capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate effectively integrated STEM learning experiences. Students will develop specialised skills to enable them to critically analyse, reflect on and synthesise multi-disciplinary approaches to STEM teaching, drawing on appropriate theoretical knowledge, allowing them to plan and deliver exemplary practice in STEM teaching. Students will also gain the skills required to be STEM leaders in schools, developing, enacting and evaluating interdisciplinary curriculum reform for the future.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Applicants for admission into the Master of Education must have successfully completed either:

  • an undergraduate degree, or higher, in teaching/education (an undergraduate degree in teaching includes the historical 2-3 year Diploma of Teaching/Education prior to 1987); Or
  • undergraduate degree in any discipline and five years’ full time equivalent professional work experience in a field considered by the School to be appropriate to the study program and specialisation.

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
