  • EDU700 - Professional Learning
  • This course provides opportunities for you to reflect on yourself as a learner/leader of learning and consider adult learning/leadership in today's world. You will engage with ideas/theories/concepts about adult learning and use these as a lens for understanding your learning context, experiences, goals, questions, interests, and ways of knowing.

  • MGT701 - Leading and Managing Organisations
  • For organizations, leadership is associated with enhanced attraction, retention & commitment of higher-performing staff. Individually, leadership abilities are related to career progress, in addition to higher levels of fulfillment and productivity.

  • MGT702 - Understanding and Managing Organisational Behaviour
  • This course will help you gain insights into the behavior of yourself and others in organizations. You will explore behavior in organizations across a range of different dimensions including personality, perception, motivation, team dynamics, conflict, decision-making, and leadership.

  • BUS702 - Economics for Managers
  • This course aims to provide you with a systematic overview of economics as a foundation study in business, covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, and introducing international economics. Business managers need to be aware of the economic environment in which they work, and the impact this environment has on their decision-making.

  • BUS704 - Finance and Accounting for Managers
  • This course deals with some important aspects of financial management of companies. Topics include time value of money, risk and return, project evaluation techniques, capital structure, sources of finance, analysis of financial reports and financial statements, company performance measurement, and the role of accounting in managerial decision making.

  • MGT703 - Strategy, Governance and Ethics
  • Managers must understand how to identify trends in an organization's external and internal environment. To do this, managers at all levels must be able to think critically and ethically so that strategies effectively address stakeholder' priorities.

  • MGT730 - Innovation by Design
  • Digital disruption is the reality for many global enterprises, raising the question: How can human-centered innovation address the changing needs of business and society? To be competitive requires a keen understanding of the principles underlying creativity and innovation.

  • MKG701 - Marketing in a Global Environment
  • Effective marketing is a cornerstone for business success. Whether you need to undertake marketing for, or manage the marketers of, your business this course will open your eyes to the customer-centric perspective and how to develop your business’s enduring value proposition.

  • PRM701 - Project Management Principles
  • This course focuses on building the knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage projects in organizations. The course provides information on how project management can drive efficiency and innovation in projects management across a range of situations.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Candidates for the award of Master of Education are normally required to hold:

  • a 4-year bachelor degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent) qualification from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent in the education discipline, or
  • Graduate Certificate in Education (AQF Level 8 or equivalent), or similar qualification

Students that have a 3-year bachelor degree in the education discipline or a bachelor degree qualification in a discipline other than education, entry to the Master of Education can be through the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Education, or similar qualification.

Students admitted to the program on the basis of completion of the Graduate Certificate in Education will not be eligible for credit.
