Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
A four year Bachelor (Honours) degree (AQF level 8 or equivalent) in either Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Psychology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Economics, Health Sciences or other appropriate discipline (or Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics); AND
- Display a proven aptitude for advanced mathematical work, indicated for example by a high level of achievement in high school or undergraduate mathematics; AND
- Have successfully completed introductory course in statistics, covering at least the estimation of means and proportions with confidence intervals, and the comparison of means and proportions between two groups using hypothesis tests (i.e. t-tests and chi-squared tests for 2x2 tables), or equivalent

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
- IELTS: 6.5 overall score, Minimum 6.0 in each subtest
- TOEFL: Total score 79, R13, L13, S18, W21
- PTE Academic: 58 overall score, Minimum 50 in each subtest
- Cambridge English Scale Score: Total score 176, Minimum 169 in each subtest
