Manage Legislative Responsibilities for the Sale, Supply and Service of Liquor
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Management of Licenced Premises (MLP) 1 is the official course required for all licensees and unrestricted Approved Managers in Western Australia and is approved by the WA Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. It has been developed to assist WA Licensees and Unrestricted Approved Managers to demonstrate their compliance with the Liquor Control Act 1988 (‘the Act’).
An Unrestricted Approved Manager is a manager of commercially licensed premises such as a tavern, liquor store, or venue with a special facility licence.
Well managed premises and the responsible service of alcohol is an important tool in providing consumers with safer venues, and this training provides you, as a licensee or approved manager, with important skills and knowledge about the State’s liquor laws; alcohol and the effects of excessive alcohol intake; how to refuse service and your responsibilities within The Act.
