Main to Meter Course

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Learn how to control electrical risk on metallic pipes by using an Abnormal Voltage Detection Device (AVDD) and bonding cables in this short course commonly known in the water industry as the Main to Meter Course.

WAM Training’s half-day Main to Meter Course is designed to equip your team with the skills and knowledge needed to work on metallic pipes within the water network safely. Electrocution whilst working on metallic pipes (such as when replacing water meters) is always a possibility, and that’s why EnergySafe Victoria strongly recommends the use of an Abnormal Voltage Detection Device (AVDD) and bonding straps whilst works are underway.

The Main to Meter Course closely covers the correct use of Abnormal Voltage Detection Devices (AVDDs) and bonding straps and provides a detailed understanding of just how important it is to use this equipment properly.
