Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The unit TLIA1001 Secure cargo involves the skills and knowledge required to secure a range of cargo types in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements as part of work activities within the transport and logistics industry. It includes preparing to secure cargo/containers, lashing and unlashing cargo, protecting cargo from weather, and packing and unpacking cargo.
Unit TLID2004 Load and unload goods/cargo involves the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority regulations/permit requirements and the relevant standards for the commercial operation of transport but particularly heavy vehicle transport.
It includes loading and unloading goods and cargo, securing and protecting a load and completing all required documentation. Work is performed under general supervision within a team environment.

- Hold current employment within the Heavy Vehicle Industry
- Have been loading and restraining items in the course of their employment for a minimum of 2 months in the last 6 months (verified in writing by a supervisor)
