Licence to Perform Dogging

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Throughout this course you will learn about applying the correct slinging techniques for the purpose of lifting and moving loads.

You will learn to select the method of lifting in consideration of the type of the load, its mass and its center of gravity. You will also learn the correct ways of directing the operator of a crane or hoist in the movement of a load when the load is both in view and out of view of the operator.

The Dogging Skill Set is a 5 day course comprised of theory and practical activities where you will learn how to facilitate lifting equipment and materials through a crane. The skills learn on this course will allow you to successfully move, position and relocate materials ranging in size around their respective work areas in a safe and effective manner.
