Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a boom-type EWP safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a HRWL licence to operate this plant.
A boom-type elevating work platform is a type of access equipment that consists of a telescopic boom and basket used to reach a work area. Boom-type elevating work platforms may be self propelled or mounted onto trucks or trailers.
A person operating a boom-type elevating work platform with a boom length of 11 metres or more is required to hold a WP High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).
