Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Basic Level Course

Gain the skills and knowledge you need to perform basic scaffolding within diverse work environments.

This course is designed to provide you with the underpinning knowledge and skills you need to safely erect and dismantle basic scaffolding, and undertake the assessment for the National High Risk Work Licence – SB issued by Workplace Standards Tasmania.

Our experienced Construction team will equip you with the skills you need to plan and prepare work, erect scaffolding/equipment, and inspect, repair and alter scaffolding. You’ll also learn how to dismantle scaffolding correctly and undertake site clean-up.

In this course, you will focus on prefabricated scaffolds, cantilevered hoists (maximum working load of 500kg materials), ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and bracket scaffolds for licensing purposes.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
Participants must be from 18 years of age and comply with the requirements outlined in the application for high risk work (GF083) published by Workplace Standards Tasmania and have a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy. Additional requirements may apply.
