Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This skill set reflects the skill requirements for people entering the health and community services sector. It provides a set of skills to support the induction of new workers into a variety of roles. Work is supervised and may involve working directly or indirectly with clients.

On campus

Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Online

Set your own study schedule and balance study with your other commitments.

Classroom based training (face to face/ online) and supervised practical experience in a community and/or residential setting.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

ALACC entry requirements require that applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years’ old
  • Have satisfactorily completed Year 11 or equivalent

The following are not an entry requirement, but may need to be considered prior to undertaking this course:

  • Students will also be required to provide a current Police check and evidence of flu shot prior to undertaking placements.
  • Workers in disability support roles will need to complete the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissions worker orientation online training module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.

About ALACC Health College

The ALACC Health College, Australia (ALACC) is a private Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers Nationally Recognised Qualifications under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) levels. We are an aged care, nursing, community and allied health educational institution.

ALACC was founded by the Director - Dr Janet Lawrence who is well qualified and respected in her field of work in the Aged Care Industry. Our programs are delivered by well qualified and experienced trainers. ALACC attracts a large number of both local and international students from a variety of professional backgrounds. Several of ALACC students have progressed to undertake courses at the university, mainly courses related to nursing.
