Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)HCSS00129 Individual Support – Ageing Skill Set is for people working in various care and support roles in the community services industry who wish to develop the skills necessary to provide person-centred support to older people.
You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to respond to the goals and aspirations of older people and provide support services in a manner that focuses on improving health outcomes and quality of life using a person-centred approach.
You will learn how to determine and respond to an individual’s physical personal support needs and to support activities of daily living.
The Skill Set will describe the skills and knowledge required to provide person-centred care and support to people living with dementia, including following and contributing to an established individual plan.
