Individual Support - Ageing Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This skill set reflects the role of support workers in the community and/or residential care setting who provide individualised support to people who are elderly. This skill set is for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or a related field, who wish to develop skills in providing person-centred support to older people.

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Must be over the age of 16 years when your course starts
- Ability to gain a national police and DCSI clearances (including Working with Children's Check, NDIS and Aged Care Sector clearance) at your own costs
- Participation in a suitability interview
- Successful completion of the LLN assessment
- Ability to participate and successfully complete Manual Handling Training
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, internet browsing and operate an email account
