Deakin’s Graduate Diploma of Midwifery course provides the knowledge, skills and ethical understanding you need to become a registered midwife – launching you into a career where you can make a real difference for women and their families. Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet all the following criteria:

  • completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with no conditions or restrictions
  • evidence of secure, ongoing employment or clinical placement support in a maternity setting within Australia, with appropriate clinical supervision
