Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationIf your career ambition is to be a practising lawyer, then Bond’s Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) is your pathway to get you there. An approved professional legal training (PLT) program, the GDLP is required for Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor graduates who wish to qualify for admission as a legal practitioner.
This practical program includes a short coursework component and a legal placement.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or equivalent qualification)
Applicants with an overseas Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor qualification will need to have their qualification assessed by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board (LPAB), to determine if they are required to undertake additional non-award subjects before commencing this program.

If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
- Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT) Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
