Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThis program will provide you with the ability to determine the nature of community health problems and the skills to initiate steps in defining and alleviating them by bringing together the various services available.
This program will suit students who seek an introduction to public health. The program provides the opportunity to develop skills and acquire knowledge essential for the effective practice of public health. One of the major goals of the program is to promote the proactive role by public health professionals in co-ordinating relevant community resources.

- Public Health, Policy and Society
- Introduction to Epidemiology
- Introduction to Biostatistics

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission
Applicants must have either:
- An undergraduate or master degree in any discipline; OR
- A Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in any discipline and two years full-time equivalent work experience in a relevant health-related discipline; OR
- Three years full-time equivalent work experience in a relevant health-related discipline.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
English Language Requirements
Your English language proficiency test must be no more than two years old at the time of your commencement at Western Sydney University.
- IELTS (Academic version): 6.5 overall score with minimum 6.0 in each subtest
- TOEFL Internet-based score: Total score 82 with Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 58 overall with no communication skills less than 50
