Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting

Increasingly businesses are looking for people with superior analytical skills which accounting can provide. The Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting program is designed for students with a degree in a field other than accounting who wish to obtain an introduction to accounting concepts and procedures.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission Requirements:
Entry into the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (40 units) will be available for applicants who have:
- 3-year Bachelor's Degree; or
- 3-year Diploma in a related field; or
- 3-year Diploma not in a related field + 1 year relevant organizational experience; or
- 2-year Diploma in a related field + 2 years relevant organizational experience; or
- 2-year Diploma not in a related field + 3 years relevant organizational experience; or
- At least 5 years organizational experience.
*Related fields include accounting, business, commerce, communication, economics, finance, human resource management, industrial relations, management, or marketing.
Only after the successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will be eligible to formally enroll in the Masters Program. They will, however, receive 40 units credit by virtue of the studies they will have already completed. Therefore, they will be required to do an additional 80 units to complete their Masters Degree.
English Language Requirements:
All applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement. Further information regarding English language proficiency requirements can be found at the English Language Proficiency for Admission Policy here.

IELTS Sub Test Minimum: 6
