Once you've completed this course, you'll have the knowledge you need to study advanced accounting topics. You can use this as a pathway to our Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Extended Professional Accounting. You'll be eligible for credit (also known as advanced standing) for the subjects you've already completed, taking you one step closer to your next qualification.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

Special Entry Access Schemes (SEAS):

Credit for Previous Study (Advanced Standing):

Credit for previous study (advanced standing) is the recognition of prior study or learning that can be counted towards a qualification. This can reduce the number of subjects required to complete your course. The amount of credit received depends on the level and relevance of your previous study and the number of subjects completed.

Academic Entry Requirement:

Prerequisites: Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

English Language Requirement:

International English Language Test (IELTS) Academic:

  • Overall 6.0, no band less than 6.0

Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE):

  • Overall score of 46 with no communicative skill score less than 46

TOEFL Internet based (iBT) - test taken prior to 26 July 2023:

  • Overall score of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing

Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) / Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE):

  • 169 with no less than 169 in any component
