This course is designed to provide management knowledge which can be tailored to fit students' needs. It is designed to provide practising engineers with extended knowledge beyond their first degree and to update knowledge and skills in recent advances in engineering management.

Many working engineers and technologists do not have the time to commit to a master's course. However, the demand for management knowledge among engineers is increasing.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • IELTS score of 6.50 or TOEFL iBT score of 79.00 or PTE score of 58.00 or its equivalent AND
  • Applicants must have one of the following:
    • Completed Australian master’s or doctoral degree, or overseas equivalent, in any field of study
    OR
    • Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in any field of study with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)
    OR
    • Completed Australian associate degree (AQF 6), or overseas equivalent, in any field of study with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience
    OR
    • Completed Australian advanced diploma (AQF 6) or diploma (AQF 5) or New Zealand technical and vocational NQF Levels 5-7, or overseas equivalent, in any field of study AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience

  • Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
