Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Foundation skills are basic skills that people require in order to be employable, such as reading, writing, communication and basic numeracy skills.
This skill set focuses on the ability to recognise foundation skill requirements in nationally recognised training programs, and to provide the right support, whether in a work, learning, or assessment setting.
This skill set is primarily used by teachers of the FSK – Foundation Skills Training Package.
If you teach and assess FSK units of competency, there is a requirement to hold what was previously the TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set. The current equivalent of TAESS00009 is this skill set; the TAESS00026.
