Fell Trees Manually (Basic)

The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:

  • general maintenance and operation of chainsaws
  • safe and efficient working techniques
  • felling trees safely and effectively following WHS and environmental requirements
  • assessing trees and surroundings and plan for felling.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.

Participants must be 16 years old or over.

Competence in Trim and cut felled trees is a prerequisite to attending this course.

This course requires a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity. If you are unsure whether you meet these requirements, please talk to our short course coordinator before enrolment.
